Below we've compiled explanations for some of the most common error messages you may encounter when synchronizing currency data with Exact Online. Understanding these errors can help you troubleshoot more effectively and ensure smoother operation.
"You can only create exchange rates in the exchange rate company."
This error occurs if there is a primary administration set in Exact Online for exchange rates. In this case, no new currencies can be created in the administrations linked to it.
Recommendation: We advise managing only the primary administration in our app if you use this feature.
"Data already exists"
Exchange rates that have already been created for a specific day cannot be overwritten by our app. This message appears when attempting to update rates that are already set for the day.
"You do not have sufficient rights to perform this action."
This message indicates that the user who established the connection with Exact Online from our app does not have the necessary permissions to create exchange rates in the designated administrations.
Solution: Reset the connection through our interface using a different user who has the appropriate permissions.
"Invalid: Currency (Target)"
If you see this error, it means that the currency does not exist in the administration, and therefore no rate can be read for it.
Solution: This usually requires adding the currency to the administration or checking the currency code for accuracy.
"No connection with Exact Online."
The connection with Exact Online is not properly configured or has expired.
Solution: Please reconnect via our interface.
"Connection issue with Exact Online."
There was a problem while refreshing the connection with Exact Online.
Solution: The user needs to reconnect through our interface by resetting the connection.
"Issue with Exact Online API."
We encountered a technical issue with the Exact Online API.
Solution: Please try the synchronization again via our interface. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
"Unknown error"
An unrecognized error has occurred.
Solution: Please contact our support team so we can investigate and resolve the issue.
"No access to the administration"
Our app does not have access to the selected administration in Exact Online.
Solution: In Exact Online, go to ‘My Exact Online’ and open the Security Center.
Under ‘Permissions for my apps’, you'll see a list of connected applications. Open ‘FOREX_APP’ and check whether the access rights are correctly configured.
If needed, use ‘Manage Administrations’ to add the appropriate administrations.
Don’t forget to reset the connection via our interface to apply the changes.
